# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
03 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - 2 tablespoons milk

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Set aside.
03 - In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
04 - Mix in the vanilla extract and milk until well combined.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
06 - Roll the dough into a log about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
07 - Once chilled, slice the log into thin rounds.
08 - Place the cookie rounds on the prepared baking sheets and bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set. The cookies will firm up as they cool.
09 - Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack. Once completely cooled, store them in an airtight container.
