Shrimp Grits Slow Cooker (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
02 - 1 cup quick-cooking grits
03 - 4 cups chicken broth
04 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
05 - 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
06 - 4 slices bacon, chopped
07 - 1 onion, chopped
08 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
10 - Salt, to taste
11 - Pepper, to taste
12 - Green onions, for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - In the slow cooker, combine chicken broth and grits. Stir well.
02 - Add chopped bacon, onion, garlic, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
03 - Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, stirring occasionally, until the grits are creamy.
04 - In the last 30 minutes of cooking, stir in heavy cream and cheddar cheese.
05 - In a skillet, sauté shrimp until cooked through, then add to the grits.
06 - Serve hot, garnished with green onions.
