Pizza Dough Pretzel Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 13.8 oz. package pizza dough
02 - 6–8 cups water
03 - 1/3 cup baking soda
04 - 1 egg, beaten
05 - 4 tablespoons melted butter
06 - coarse Kosher salt

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
02 - Fill a large pot with water, ensuring the water line is about 3-4 inches below the edge to prevent overflow when adding baking soda.
03 - Unroll the pizza dough while waiting for the water to boil.
04 - Cut the rectangle of pizza dough lengthwise into 4 equal sized strips.
05 - Pinch the cut sides of each dough strip together and gently roll into a rope.
06 - Cut each rope into 1-inch pieces.
07 - When water reaches a boil, slowly add the baking soda.
08 - Add pizza dough squares in 2-3 batches to the boiling water, cooking for 30-60 seconds.
09 - Remove boiled dough using a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined baking sheet. Continue with remaining dough.
10 - Transfer dough bites to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
11 - Brush each bite with beaten egg.
12 - Bake for 15-18 minutes or until pretzel bites are dark golden brown.
13 - Brush pretzel bites with melted butter and sprinkle with Kosher salt.
14 - Serve with cheese sauce or honey mustard.

01 - These pretzel bites can be made ahead and reheated in the oven for 5 minutes before serving.
