02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic salt
05 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
06 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
07 - 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
08 - 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
09 - Marinara or pizza sauce, for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
02 - Cut the hoagie rolls into 2-inch wide portions, leaving them attached in the middle to form a loaf-like base.
03 - In a small bowl, combine olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and red pepper flakes if using. Brush this mixture generously onto the bread, ensuring it penetrates into the cuts.
04 - Layer the bread with shredded mozzarella cheese, arrange pepperoni slices evenly, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
05 - Transfer the prepared bread to the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted and the edges of the bread turn golden and crispy.
