Festive Santa Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Dough

01 - 14 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
02 - 4 tablespoons cream cheese, room temperature
03 - ½ cup powdered sugar
04 - ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
05 - 1½ cups all-purpose flour
06 - ¼ cup cornstarch (4 tablespoons)
07 - ¼ teaspoon salt

→ Frosting

08 - 2 tablespoons butter, softened
09 - 2¼ cups powdered sugar
10 - 3-4 tablespoons milk
11 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
12 - Christmas sprinkles

# Instructions:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and cream cheese until creamy and smooth. Add powdered sugar and peppermint extract and beat until fluffy.
02 - In a small mixing bowl, mix flour, cornstarch and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and blend until incorporated. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
03 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Scoop dough with cookie scoop into 1-inch balls. Roll and place on a baking sheet. Use the bottom of a cup to flatten cookies.
04 - Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned on the edges.
05 - Mix butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract with a hand mixer in a medium bowl. Add more milk until it reaches desired consistency.
06 - Frost cookies and sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles. Let set before packaging or storing.
