Olive Cheese Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dairy

01 - 6 oz. full fat sour cream
02 - 4 tablespoons softened butter
03 - 8 oz. shredded Monterey Jack cheese

→ Olives

04 - 7 oz. green olives, drained and sliced
05 - 6 oz. black olives, drained and sliced

→ Produce

06 - 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions

→ Bread

07 - 8-10 oz. loaf French bread

→ Seasonings

08 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - Kosher salt
10 - Fresh cracked pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a medium bowl combine sour cream, garlic powder and butter along with a large pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until mostly smooth.
03 - Add cheese and green onion to the mixture and stir until well combined.
04 - Fold both green and black olives into the cheese mixture.
05 - Slice French bread loaf in half widthwise and then in half lengthwise to create four pieces.
06 - Divide olive mixture between the four bread pieces, spreading it in an even layer on the cut sides.
07 - Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and the edges start to turn golden brown.
08 - Broil for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese develops a dark golden brown color.
09 - Slice, garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

01 - This savory bread makes an excellent appetizer for parties or a delicious side with soups and salads.
02 - For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture.
