French Quarter Pecan Cheese Spread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 ounces cream cheese
02 - 1 teaspoon grated Vidalia onion
03 - 1 teaspoon minced garlic clove
04 - 1/4 cup butter
05 - 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1/2 teaspoon prepared brown mustard
08 - 1 cup finely chopped pecans

# Instructions:

01 - In a small pan on medium-low heat, toast pecans until they're lightly browned and fragrant.
02 - In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, onion, and garlic. Spoon onto a serving platter into a 6 or 7 inch round disc.
03 - In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Cook on medium-low heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
04 - Remove from heat and stir in pecans. Cool slightly before spooning over cream cheese mixture. Serve warm or at room temperature with your favorite crackers.
