Crispy High Protein Waffles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 32g protein powder (1/3 cup)
02 - 35g all-purpose flour (1/4 cup)
03 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
04 - 1/8 teaspoon salt

→ Wet Ingredients

05 - 120ml water (1/2 cup)
06 - 60ml egg whites or additional water (1/4 cup)
07 - 60ml yogurt or applesauce (1/4 cup)
08 - 2 tablespoons sweetener of choice
09 - 2 teaspoons oil (optional, for crispier texture)

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl, whisk together protein powder, flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
02 - Add water, egg whites (or additional water), yogurt (or applesauce), and sweetener to the dry ingredients. Whisk until smooth. If necessary, add more liquid one tablespoon at a time until batter reaches proper consistency.
03 - Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. Once hot, thoroughly grease the cooking surfaces.
04 - Pour batter into the center of the preheated waffle iron and close. Cook according to manufacturer's directions until waffles are light golden and crispy. Re-grease waffle iron between each batch.

# Notes:

01 - For extra protein content, use egg whites rather than additional water. The optional oil will create a crispier exterior texture.
