Classic French Toast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 large eggs
02 - 2/3 cup milk
03 - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
04 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - 8 thick slices bread

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat griddle to 175°C (350°F) or heat a skillet over medium heat.
02 - In a blender, combine eggs, milk, flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla. Blend until smooth. If whisking by hand, first mix the flour and eggs together in a shallow dish, then whisk in remaining ingredients until well combined.
03 - Thoroughly dredge bread slices in the batter, ensuring both sides are well coated, then place on hot, greased griddle or skillet.
04 - Cook for several minutes until the bottom develops a golden brown color. Flip and cook the other side until equally golden.
05 - Transfer to plates and serve warm with syrup and a light dusting of powdered sugar.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, use slightly stale bread as it absorbs the batter without becoming soggy.
