Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Brownies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Brownie Base

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
06 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
09 - 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

→ Topping

10 - 6-8 fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
11 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
12 - 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar together until smooth and glossy. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
04 - Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
05 - Pour batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
06 - Let brownies cool completely in the pan.
07 - Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just starts to simmer. Remove from heat and add chopped semisweet chocolate, stirring until smooth.
08 - Dip each strawberry slice into the melted chocolate and place on a parchment-lined plate to set.
09 - Once brownies are cooled, cut into squares and top each with a chocolate-covered strawberry slice.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, use room temperature eggs to ensure proper incorporation into the batter.
02 - Allow chocolate coating to cool slightly before dipping strawberries for a thicker coating.
