04 - Pinch of salt
05 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
06 - 1/2 cup buttermilk
07 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
08 - 1 large egg
09 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

→ Cinnamon Sugar Coating

10 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
11 - 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
12 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with butter or non-stick spray.
02 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cake flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, salt, and granulated sugar until well combined.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
04 - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
05 - Spoon or pipe the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the donuts are golden brown and spring back when lightly touched.
07 - In a shallow bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the coating.
08 - While donuts are still warm, carefully remove them from the pan and place on a wire rack. Dip each donut in melted butter, ensuring even coating, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
09 - Serve the donuts warm for the best texture and flavor. Optionally, sprinkle with additional cinnamon or powdered sugar for visual appeal.

# Notes:

01 - For a lighter texture, handle the batter gently and avoid overmixing
02 - These donuts are best enjoyed the same day they are made
